Power is Intoxicating
...it fills you slowly and almost unnoticeable that you don't think to come up for air, until it chokes you, and you die.
I heard something someone did today. And for a while, I thought long and hard about it. I even tried to make excuses for the person because 'maybe they didn't intend it that way'. But, at the end of the day, I have come to only one conclusion...
Power is Intoxicating.
You see, just like drugs, not paracetamol or ibuprofen, the type that gets you 'high' and gives you that 'outer world' feeling, power comes in slowly that you think you can handle it.
You'll say, 'It is not a big deal'. Until you get access to more and more power then in no time you're addicted and soon you'd crave for it like your next breath because it has gone deep into your blood and you don't know how to handle it.
But a little addiction is nothing yeah? It can still be fixed.
Well, not in this case. Power comes like the soft smoke leaking into a closed room and it comes little by little, it fills you slowly and almost unnoticeable that you don't think to come up for air, until it chokes you, and you die.
However, unlike drugs that one can warn you to stay totally away from power is needed to a certain level so you don't get trampled upon. But just how much power is too much?
